The Center on the Developing Child promotes science-based innovation that achieves breakthrough outcomes for children facing adversity. But the many data systems supporting this mission weren’t integrated for the staff. So KELL Partners built a system that empowered the Center with critical information on programs and people.

To address the Center’s unique and complex needs, KELL laid the groundwork with the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack.

KELL incorporated FormAssembly for online forms and Apsona to directly import data.

Photo Uploader Pro was installed and integrated with MailChimp for email marketing.

MAKING IT SIMPLE

KELL helped the Center map out their project portfolio, and then built in the formulas to nest the programs in Salesforce.

Seeing What Matters

One constituent may interact with the Center in many different ways. The organization’s new database fuels a simple visualization of this web of relationships. In Salesforce, a roll-up summary field calculates values from related records. KELL leveraged this feature for a custom events module. The system contextualizes an event with helpful details about the people who attended.

Building on a Strong Foundation

The Center’s next big step is scaling up its signature Translational Science Model for strengthening interventions in the early childhood field. KELL’s architecture supports this project through the use of events, action items, and accurate attendance tracking—including for staff who are new to Salesforce.
